The UW Diabetes and Metabolism Seminar Series is to promote scientific exchange and collaboration among researchers across the UW system and affiliated research institutes. We provide access to outstanding, novel and innovative research in the areas of diabetes, obesity, nutrition and metabolism in an interactive format through monthly seminars and workshops. Our events feature lectures from high profile and emerging visiting scientists along with local presenters. Finally, we promote interactions of trainees with leaders in the field via frequent roundtable discussions.

Sponsorship, oversight and administrative support is provided by the UW Diabetes Research Center (DRC), UW Medicine Diabetes Institute (UWMDI), UW Nutrition Obesity Research Center (NORC). Additional sponsorship comes from Pacific Northwest Research Institute (PNRI) with specific events co-sponsored by Benaroya Research Institute (BRI), UW Cystic Fibrosis Research Translation Center (CFRTC) and UW Medicine’s Office of Healthcare Equity.
